Declining production stimulation

Declining production
stimulation

The technological complex of a well operating with concentric elevator columns provides:
  • continuous or periodic removal of liquid from the bottom-hole;
  • gas well performance improvement;
  • extension of the period of continuous operation of the well;
  • elimination of the need for atmospheric venting of the wells.
The technology of operating a gas well with concentric elevator columns involves lowering the central production column into the main elevator column. Thanks to the dynamic redistribution of flows, the conditions necessary for removing liquid from the well are created using of an automated system, with gas withdrawals being made both over the inter-column space and along the central lift column.

This technology has been implemented at a number of the PJSC GAZPROM sites, and the technologies for lowering the central production column into place without killing the well have been mastered.
The Concentric Lift software and hardware complex provides for:
  • the indication of the state of the technological equipment;
  • the remote adjustment of parameters, constants, and service information;
  • the indication of deviations of measured and calculated process parameters from the settings;
  • the manual control of the actuators (RUD-02 and SPI-02) from the operator's workplace;
  • transmission of the calculated average hourly and daily flow rates, etc.
Main functions:
  • automatic collection and processing of information about the current operating modes of wells and the presentation of this information to operating personnel;
  • implementation of algorithms for the control of fluid removal from wells;
  • implementation of algorithms for fluid removal from wells;
  • optimization of operating modes – for each well individually, and for the gas well cluster – by automated regulation of the production rate;
  • hydrate formation prevention by effective automatic control of the flow of condensation inhibitor into the well pipeline;
  • diagnostic monitoring of the status and operating modes of the technical equipment in the package;
  • the capacity for remote intervention in the automation process by the GTP operator.
