Vympel 100

The Vympel-100 is a compact ultrasonic metering system designed to measure the gas flow rate and volume. It does not require straight runs upstream and downstream of the primary transducer.
The Vympel-100 has an extended dynamic range ratio of 500:1. The interflange distance required for installation is equal to 3DN (DN is the nominal pipeline diameter), which makes possible the installation of this ultrasonic flowmeter instead of a turbine or rotary meter without redesigning the installation space.

This flowmeter is available in two versions, which are designed to meet the needs of two levels of operating pressure: up to 1.6 MPa and up to 10 MPa.
The series is available in three sizes: DN50, DN80 and DN100

The autonomous power supply unit provides for up to 4 years of continuous operation. The Vympel-100 has two measuring channels and a high degree of measurement stability — less than 0.1% in the operating range of the flow.

Measuring principle:

In accord with its principle of operation, the Vympel-100 is classified as a pulse-time flowmeter, whose operation is based on measuring the difference in the transit times of ultrasonic probing pulses emitted with and against the direction of flow of the working medium passing through the measurement pipe (primary transducer).

Emission and reception of probing pulses is performed by a matched pair of piezoelectric transmitter/sensors mounted on the measurement pipe. Alternately switching between the receiving and transmitting modes of the sensor pairs is provided via the electronic unit.
