The «R» version of the HyperFlow-US is an ultrasonic flowmeter that is intended to measure the flow rate and volume of natural gas and other gaseous media in an extended dynamic range of flow rates, with the function of adjusting to standard conditions.

Best solution for CNG filling stations

The need to take into account the reverse current of small gas volumes that occur upon completion of injection is a key feature of flow measurement at automobile gas filling compressor stations. The expanded measurement range and the reverse mode allow HyperFlow-US R to measure small volumes of reverse gas current with great accuracy. That is why this flowmeter is the best solution for CNG filling station metering units. Hyperflow-US has successfully concluded testing under pilot operation conditions and is recommended for use at CNG filling stations.

Intended use

The «R» version of this parametric series of flowmeters can be used in gas distribution networks with operating pressures of up to 16 MPa. Flow meters in this series range in size from DN50 to DN200, making possible their use as a communal meter in apartment buildings and other objects with a wide flow range that varies with the season.

Measuring principle:

In accord with its principle of operation, the HyperFlow-US R is classified as a pulse-time flowmeter, whose operation is based on measuring the difference in the transit times of ultrasonic probing pulses emitted with and against the direction of flow of the working medium passing through the measurement pipe (primary transducer).

Emission and reception of probing pulses is performed by a matched pair of piezoelectric transmitter/sensors mounted on the measurement pipe. Alternately switching between the receiving and transmitting modes of the sensor pairs is provided via the electronic unit.
